Victoire moves in with Samuel
It’s a big day for Victoire as he leaves his apartment to move in with Samuel. Noor helps her take things apart. She is happy to be able to retrieve Victoire’s room. Samuel goes to get his girlfriend and meets Mona. Georges’ mother has heard of Samuel, but not forever. She is a little wary of her, then she gives Samuel some instructions for life together such as loyalty or respect.
Samuel’s locker room is as full as an influencer’s. Victoire has no choice but to store her clothes in the drawers and in the guest bedroom. That’s when she gets her hands on a well-hidden secret: a duck-shaped toy. Victoire takes advantage of taking a bath with Samuel to tease him.
Chloe plays the bait
Chloe escaped an attempted murder. As he was about to enjoy a glass of wine, Alex told his wife that he could be poisoned. Sent to Delcourt-Bertrands, the forensic police carried out surveys. The wine was in fact poisoned with digitalis. He would have killed Chloe in minutes.
Chloé explains to Martin that she hasn’t noticed anything abnormal either on the street or at her home. But the scientist is formal. Chloe wasn’t alone. Unusable footprints were found on the porch and a tiger rose bud was found on the spot. Chloe realizes that the killer was in her house and she was waiting for him to die.
Prosecutor Perraud is convinced that the serial killer will take offense again. This was the case ten years ago. A photographer narrowly escaped an attempted murder of Loïc Mercier, but the next day he was back in action and killed her.
Martin wants to put Chloé under police protection. But Sébastien wants to use Chloé as a bait. Therefore, he summons her and tries to convince her that she is the only one who can help them stop the serial killer. Chloé hesitates, she is scared to death. Sébastien explains his plan to arrest Mercier. Chloé ends up accepting, because she would live very badly if Mercier killed another person for her because of her. The prosecutor promises Alex that nothing will happen to his wife.
Sébastien knows very well that Loïc Mercier is a proud man. For this they will provoke him by starting with an interview with Chloé in the local press to get him to react tonight. Then they’ll trick him into believing Chloe is having a last-minute high school meeting, and they’ll step in when that happens.
As they leave the courthouse, Chloé and Alex are approached by Philippe Blondeau, a journalist from Infos du Midi. He conducts an interview with Chloé at the request of the prosecutor. Chloé claims she does not know the patient who assaulted her and that he hopes he ends up in prison. Loïc Mercier has taken the bait and Chloé’s interview angers him.
Louise and Bart wonder if it’s the right time to get married under the circumstances. Vanessa thinks their love should be stronger than anything else, but for Bart, that’s not the point. Vanessa loses her temper, then apologizes. She thinks she has invested a little too much in their marriage and she acknowledges that she doesn’t have to be involved.
Raphaëlle has learned of her father’s plan and is beside herself. She accuses him of wanting to put her personal interests ahead of her professional conscience. Raphaëlle then berates her father for endangering Chloé’s life out of her pride. But Sébastien remains determined to do everything to put Mercier out of harm’s way. Raphaëlle warns her father about her. If the serial killer has a third victim or if something happens to Chloe, she won’t forgive him.
Aurore has equipped Chloé with headphones and a microphone. Marianne and Alex are worried. Martin and Aurore assure them they won’t let her go.
Night has fallen. Chloe returns to her car parked near the school, but is followed by a black figure. She loses contact with Aurore. Chloe gets scared and quickens her pace when Aurore intervenes. She defies suspicion and looks very surprised when she finds out her face.
