Eurovision in Turin, all traffic changes, parking bans and traffic closures

TURIN. The Eurovision Song Contest is shortly before the start and, after the first viable changes last April, in the areas of the Olympic Stadium and Valentino Park (where the Eurovillage is based) further measures are about to come into force to ensure the smooth running of the kermesse and the events connected to it.
For the occasion, an area in piazzale Rita Levi Montalcini (near Torino Esposizioni) dedicated to sustainable mobility.
The measures that are presumed to have the greatest impact on traffic concern via Filadelfiain the section between piazzale Gabriele da Gorizia and corso Agnelli where, from 9 to 14 May, parking will be prohibited.
Along the same stretch of road on Tuesday 10, Thursday 12 and Saturday 14 May, from 10 to 24 (and, in any case, until needs ceased) the transit will also be forbidden, while Monday 9, Wednesday 11 and Friday 13 May may be decided on temporary closures based on the needs of the moment.
Around the Olympic Stadium the ban on transit and parking in the west cross street of corso Galileo Ferraris, between piazza Costantino il Grande and piazzale Grande Torino and between piazzale Grande Torino and number 282 are confirmed (with the exception of emergency vehicles, Police forces, taxis, vehicles with the disabled badge, authorized or directed to the properties located on the side).
It will also not be possible to transit and stop, in Montelungo coursein the inner area of ​​Piazza d’Armi (former carousel area) located at the back and accessible from the sides of the Carabinieri barracks.
The prohibition of parking and transit in the section between piazzale Grande Torino and number 282 will be in force (with the exception of vehicles bearing the disabled badge) also on Saturday 7 May on the occasion of the Serie A football match between Turin and Naples.
For spectators with disabilities or with walking difficulties from 9 to 14 May, reserved stalls will be available for the whole day on the west side of the west side street in corso Galileo Ferraris and on the east side of the east side street in corso IV novembre.
Always along the west side of the west carriageway of corso Galileo Ferraris and along the east side of the east carriageway of corso IV novembre, the areas intended for trade operators.
I Taxi they will be placed on the east side of the west carriageway of corso Galileo Ferraris towards corso Sebastopoli where an area reserved for them will be set up.
For the entire duration of the event, from 9 to 14 May, from 10 to 24 will be established Paid parking in Corso Galileo Ferraris at the flat rate of 8 euros:

– on both sides of the central carriageway, in the section between corso Sebastopoli and via De Cristoforis;

– on the right side of the direction of travel of the central carriageways, in the stretch of via De Cristoforis and piazzale Costantino il Grande.

In the area around the Valentino Park to facilitate access to Eurosong Village for all visitors, the parking area in piazzale Rita Levi Montalcini was reorganized, making room for the disabled, public transport, soft mobility and taxis.
On the West side of viale Medaglie d’Oro at the height of house number 88 and on the north side of the roadway to the north of the flowerbed of the monument to Amedeo di Savoia Duca D’Aosta (proceeding west from viale Carlo Ceppi to the roadway to the north of the monument to Amedeo di Savoia) were other stalls have been created for vehicles with special markings for spectators with disabilities or with walking difficulties.
New areas, which are added to those already existing, even for those who decide to use the bicycle or scooter to reach the Village which will have spaces – also available to those who use the means of shared mobility operators – and dedicated racks on the raised platform and on the west side located south of number 88 in viale Medaglie d’Oro.
I Taxi they will be located on the north side of the north carriageway and on the west side of the east carriageway of the flowerbed of the monument to Amedeo di Savoia, while for GTT vehicles an area has been identified on the east side of the east carriageway of the flowerbed to the monument of Amedeo di Savoy.
A ban on parking and transit for all other vehicles has been instituted on the east carriageway of the flowerbed at the monument to Amedeo di Savoia.

The measures adopted at the end of April that provide for the closure to traffic remain in force (with the sole exception of emergency vehicles, police forces and authorized vehicles) for:

– the southern counter street of corso Vittorio Emanuele II, between corso Massimo D’Azeglio and viale Virgilio;

– the stretch behind the Monumental Arch of the Artillery at the entrance to the Parco del Valentino;

– viale Virgilio, in the section between corso Vittorio Emanuele II up to the entrance of the Valentino limited traffic area;

– viale Medaglie D’Oro, from piazza Levi Montalcini to viale Ceppi.

Along these stretches of road and in corso Massimo D’Azeglio on the east side, between corso Vittorio Emanuele II and up to the height of via Campana, parking will also be prohibited.

Transit and parking will be allowed only to vehicles authorized by the organizers of the event:

– in viale Virgilio, from the Valentino castle to the ZTL gate located north of the avenue;

– in viale Mattioli, in the stretches from the Nikola Tesla roundabout to viale Virgilio and from the Nikola Tesla roundabout to viale Crivelli.
