During Night of the museums from Porto Alegre, the main cultural centers are open to visitors and the streets and squares receive presentations of music, art, cinema and literature. Entirely free, the festival has been running since 2016 and will take place again in person after the pandemic on May 21, from 7pm to 1am.

In addition, two stages will be set up in the historic center: the first n / a Piazza della Doganatraditional meeting place that has existed since the 18th century, and the second in front of the Military Brigade Museum. Other presentations will take place in museum gardens, such as those of Mario Quintana Culture Housedo UFRGS Planetarium Comes from Porto Alegre Joaquim Felizardo Museum. The artists wander between rock, pop, jazz and regionalist instrumental music, but there will be theatrical performances, film screenings and slam (spoken poetry). For safety reasons and better pedestrian traffic, some roads in the region will be closed to car traffic.
