Since mid-March, none of the EuroMillions players have been able to find the right combination. Why ? And how do you maximize your chances of success for this 14th draw on Friday 6th May? Answers below.
On March 18, two players shared a € 54 million jackpot after finding the right combination of the EuroMillions draw. Since then, nothing. At the rate of two draws a week, now is the time 13 times in a row no one has found the right result. Logically, the prize pool at stake exploded to flirt with 200 million euros.
This Friday evening, May 6, 195 million euros will be officially paid to the winners. With such a jackpot at stake, never before seen in 2022, the excitement will be at its peak. First of all, you should know that 100% of the winners have tried their luck. If you want to have a non-zero chance of winning this EuroMillions draw jackpot, the first thing to do is fill out a grid.

Why does no one win the EuroMillion?
Like the Lotus, the EuroMillion draw is random and independent. This means that each draw has nothing to do with the previous one, nor with the next. Each time, 5 numbers (out of 50 numbers) and 2 stars (out of 12 stars) are drawn randomly and under the supervision of a bailiff. The results of the previous draw do not indicate future results. This also means that there is a non-zero probability that the same numbers will fall.
At EuroMillion, it’s all about probability. For example, you have a 1 in 139 million chance of finding the correct extraction result. If the odds are low, there is still a 1 in 13 chance of winning anything in this European lottery. Also, if you select the Star + option, you also have a 1 in 4 chance of walking away with a profit.
If you are now wondering why no one has won since March 18th, the answer is simple: it’s a question of probability.. No one was lucky enough to find the correct combination of numbers and stars. It is extremely rare for the prize pool to reach this amount. Since the beginning of 2022, the amounts involved have always been very low. They never exceeded 130 million before this series.

The maximum amount at stake in a EuroMillion draw is € 210 million. For each of the draws that do not have a winner, the kitten increases from 15 to 25 million euros. In other words, if no one finds the right combination this Friday evening, May 6th, the EuroMillions jackpot to be played next Tuesday will be at its maximum.
Should we give up on this new EuroMillions draw? Absolutely not ! In fact, the bigger the prize pool, the more it is worth participating. When you know the odds of winning are always the same (regardless of the draw amount), you might as well focus on the bigger jackpots. With 195 million euros up for grabs this Friday, the public will respond very present.
How to maximize your chances for this lottery?
By default, the probability of winning the EuroMillion jackpot is low. That said, there are techniques to increase the odds of winning something in this European lottery. Also, the French have an advantage (thanks to FDJ overseeing the lottery) that players from other countries don’t have: My Million.
My Million is a secondary drawing (also random) reserved only for French customers. This draw is included in the cost of the EuroMillions grid – so you don’t have to withdraw extra cash. We remind you that a EuroMillion network costs 2.50 euros by default without options. With this amount you actually have two stakes: EuroMillions and My Million.
Unlike the big EuroMillions drawing, My Million is a drawing with a guaranteed winner. A randomly generated code is associated with each EuroMillions grid (which you can find on your EuroMillions participation ticket). FDJ will then draw a ticket from everyone and the winner will leave this Friday evening with a check for one million euros. Regardless of the grid result for the EuroMillions main draw, the client can withdraw with this check.

When you know that on average, 4 million EuroMillions grids are filled for each draw in France, then you have a 1 in 4 million chance of becoming a millionaire this Friday night. As this My Million draw is independent of the main EuroMillion draw, you can combine the 2 chances of success.
In addition to My Million, there are other tricks to increase your chances: Etoile + allows you to increase your chances of success (for 1 euro more) for example. There is also the possibility to diversify your risk with MultiChances which is a feature that is only available on the official FDJ website. If you play in a tobacconist’s, it will not be possible to use them. With a 5 euro grid, MultiChances allows you to take a position on 660 or 1260 grids. You will earn less, but the likelihood of success is significantly higher.
A bonus for this EuroMillions draw
If the French already have an advantage with this double EuroMillions and My Million draw, there is another bonus to be taken for this draw. In fact, FDJ is organizing a contest called “Rendez-vous à St Barth” which will draw 3 people to win a trip for 2 to the Caribbean island (Business Class flight, 7 nights in a 5 star hotel, etc.). It is the icing on the cake and is still independent of the other two extractions.
This competition is not limited to the EuroMillion draw only. You just have to place 10 euros on one of the FDJ games (on the website, exclusively) between May 2nd and May 8th. In other words, this May 6 draw is perfectly in line. For every 10 euro slice you place, you will receive an additional participation ticket. Each player is entitled to a maximum of 10 entries, or a total bet of 100 euros.
